Jharkhand

Ancient History of Jharkhand .  The  state of Jharkhand was formed in the year 2000 . It is  28th state of India . It has very long history.where various cultures,races, tribes and languages  had flourished. Jharkhand has been an area of great scholarly research for historians and archaeologists. It has always been a meeting point for several cultures.Here , different races like Indo Aryan ,Negrito,Proto Australoids and Mongoloids have co existed together since ancient time and amalgamated to form a new culture. This led to the inter exchange of several words from different languages . e.g.in contact with the Indo Aryan languages ,other languages like Mandarin, Santhali, and Ho have Incorporated several words from Sanskrit, Bengali and Odiya,but in case of Jharkhand,legends, ancestral stories and folk tales also play major roles in creating its history.

Asiatic elephant   is the state animal of jharkhand.It is the only living species of the genus Elephas and is distributed in southeast Asia from India in the West to Borneo in the east.Asian elephants are the largest living land animals in Asia. Asian koel (Eudynamys scolopaceus) is the state bird of jharkhand.It is a member of the cuckoo orderof birds, the cuculiformes.It is found in the Indian subcontinent, China and southeast Asia. Koel lays its eggs in the nests of crows and other hosts , who raise its young.The bird is a widely used symbol in Indian poetry. Plash (Butea monosperma) is a state flower of jharkhand.It is a species of Butea native to tropical and sub tropical parts of Indian subcontinent and southeast Asia.Common names include flame of the forest and bastard teak. Sal (shorea robust) is the state tree of jharkhand.It is a species of tree belonging to the Dipterocarpaceae family.This tree is the native to the Indian subcontinent. Logo. Logo of Jharkhand state is
